While I don’t deny that the A380 is impressive, I must admit that I have a weakness for the B747.

Yes. I’ve heard more “j’ai un faible pour” than the English translation.

Actually, this expression exists in English also
From Oxford dictionary (the one that came with Mac OS X):
• [in sing. ] ( weakness for) a self-indulgent liking for : he had a great weakness for Scotch whisky.
You really like planes and helicopters, don’t you ? I mean this post is about the A380 and the following one is about the Sea King helicopter.
