Number 2 for takeoff on runway 28

The taxiway was quite busy with up to 4 planes lining up for takeoff and other planes in the pattern wanting to land. It was my maiden flight in a small Cessna 150L in which I feel cramped (for my size). The wind was gusting up to 20 knots (37km/h) and there was only one active runway. I did not get the opportunity to take more pictures in flight since I was the pilot in command and we experienced some turbulence. I have to evaluate if I want to spend 50 hours in this plane.

Congratulations Stéphane! It must be fantastic to fly a real airplane. I’ve used Flight Simulator (yes, the one from Microsoft) for years but I guess that the real thing is something else altogether.

Like you, I have a passion for airplanes but it’s really too expensive here in Mauritius to get a private pilot license. Perhaps one day I’ll get one in another country :-)

By the way, is your email address working? I sent you a mail a week ago and I’ve just received a notification from Gmail that your email address is not responding.

Congrats on your first flight! I don’t think there’ll be a plane with seats big enough for you to fit in :-)

Yeah, first time you praise MS. :) In fact, X-Plane has a more real feel than Flight Simulator. It works on Mac too.

Learning to fly will be a lot of fun. I just have to solve some logistics (my size vs . airplane size). It’s like choosing a car. Damn!

    My e-mail should work.

I think that should be ok once you are in command of a 747 or a boenig. It’s like a small car when you once bought it and then there is the thrills of a big one :) Allow me to join the group to congratulate you on this first flight.
