Project 3X: the ultimate geek project

Project 3X is the codename of a new project I’m starting. Very few people know about this (so far). I think it is the ultimate geek project. I am actually in the feasibility and planning phase.

Project 3X will need about 1500 man hours, electronic components, some light mechanical tools and some principles learned in Physics class, and it will be 3 times faster. Due to the amount of resources to be invested (manpower and money), I have to study all the implications and establish a modus operandi (clever word for mode of operation).

To be continued…

I expect to start in 2008. In the meantime, I have to study the plans and blueprints, prep the workspace and attend an initiation workshop. I’ve not decided yet what type (final specs) it will be yet. The single-car garage will large enough though I would prefer more. I may have to find a storage space afterwards. I’ve got some tools to buy and some tables and tablets to build. The preparation will take as much time as the real construction. I think that if you’re equipped properly, the work will be faster and easier. It’s not a ‘big’ job but thousands of small jobs that you have to manage.
