Going on vacations. Finally, at last, enfin… SFO, here I come!
I have a week vacation next week and I was not planning to go anywhere. But, I just got a fresh passport. I decided aircanada.com and aeroplan.com for some deals. Air Canada has some deal to London, UK. It’s $164 (one-way) but after calculating all the surcharges, it comes to over $600 round-trip. Not very good for only a week. (For 2 weeks, I would probably take it). On Aeroplan, San Francisco is 25k points; Los Angeles 105k points (it’s mad!); London 70k. So I booked for San Francisco!!! For 25k points and $135 surcharge (not bad, I was fearing for more).
There is certainly room for improvement on the Aeroplan website (I can’t save my recent flight searches) but it does the job and I was able to book my flight. I had to call them in order to finalize my booking and calculate the taxes (I thought it was all inclusive). Anyway, after 5 mins. on the phone, it was all good and booked.
