Windows Vista is out!

Windows Vista is now available to the public today.

Here is my first Vista tip:
Now, you can Alt+Tab to “show desktop.” No need to click on the small icon at the bottom to minimize all the windows and no need to install any third party app.

Enjoy!

To minimise all windows and show the desktop, I have always used WindowKey+D. Quick, and easy. To cycle through the windows while switching application, Ctrl+Shift+Tab.

I am tempted to buy Windows Vista, but I realise that I can get a better deal by buying a new Dell computer altogether: a powerful computer with the most recent CPU + 19″ TFT monitor + Windows Vista OEM + possible upgrade.

Contrary to what others are saying, Windows Vista is not that expensive in this sense.

Please shoot me, Ctrl+Shift+Tab to cycle through windows is done with the help of a utility.

Eddy: I have been thinking the same way. In many cases, it makes more sense to buy a new computer. Anyway, I am curious to see what Mac OS X Leopard will look like.

No great rush for vista over here. Some companies are already selling pre-installed vista on laptops, while there was an article in the media mentioning the availability of vista on laptops in two weeks’ time.
P.S thanks for the short cut key tips. Now i know how to minimise my chat window when my boss rush in :)
