Chesapeake cheap and greedy

The City of Chesapeake bugged , Aspen Technology, the owner of chesapeake.com domain name for 10 years to give it the domain name. They said that they had no money to buy the domain name and that they wanted it for free. Last year, Aspen decided to give the domain name for free. Now, the city council has voted to sell the domain name for $120,000. Aspen should have sold it for $120k. What a cheap bunch of people!

Moral of the story: If you don’t use a domain name, do not donate it. Put it on a parking page.

See: Chesapeake sells chesapeake.com name for $120,000

Also, Aspen could claim they have donated $120k to the city and that they could deduct it from its taxes.
