Soft launching blog.mu
I am starting a new project with the Mauritian blogosphere which I should have started well before. I am currently hosting some blogs and would like to extend the offer to others.
The project will resume to these
- Free blog hosting. WordPress recommended but not mandatory,
- Free regular webhosting account with FTP access. You can other scripts like a picture gallery for example.
- You can use your own domain name or a subdomain.
- The main blog site will link to the individual blogs and vice-versa.
- You can still use the service even if you are hosted elsewhere
The service will be free of course.
Participating blogs should put a link to “Blog Mauritius” – http://blog.mu/
Just put this on the sidebar or on the footer:
blog.mu
I have setup a tracker for participating blogs at http://mauritius.blog.mu/
. Excerpts of posts will be posted there.

Hey very kind of your part. I would actually love to be part of this family : being hosted with you. I’ve just sent you a mail at your site blog.mu and impatiently waiting for a reply. Hoping to have a nice response.
I’ve actually long searched for a hosting and having not found one, I just opted blogger where I could bring a change or two to the site through the template but that just keep it down.
I’ve long wanted to be wordpressed and waiting for this opportunity to let me do so. Thanks very much.
