Remax has put their house listings in Google Earth. You can browse the neighbourhood for houses for sale. This is what I want. I can check easily how far it is from my office and from other amenities.

I recently bought a Master Lock combination padlock (without key) but I’ve lost the paper that contains the combination to open the lock. I remember only part of the 3-digit combination.
After much searching, I’ve found this illuminating comment on digg:
the information he neglected to tell you was that the first number is either the last number, or the last number + 4, or that +4 and so on, and the second number is the last number + 6, then that plus 4 and so on. So, if your last number is 2, the first number possibilities are
2, 6, 10, 14, 18, 22, 26, 30, 34, 38
and your second number possibilities are
8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 4
Thus, 100 possible combinations, if you are good, you should be able to go through them in 5-10 mins, which means within 2 and 1/2 to 5 mins, you’ll have had a 50% chance to have solved it. It works, I’ve been doing it for a while… As a hobby, that is.
It was very clear and more valuable than the digged article.

The Dell Inspiron 14″ 630m fits perfectly in the Marware SportFolio neoprene pouch that was designed for a 15″ Powerbook. My 15″ Dell Inspiron 6000 does not fit in however. The 17″ PB model will certainly fit it but the Inspiron 6000 rarely leaves home. The design and touch are pretty sleek. I’ll carry the 630m in the back pack every day and the neoprene pouch gives much protection for it.
After much hesitation, I have settled for a Dell Inpiron 630m laptop. The Boxing week sale is still going on and the offer ends tomorrow.
I was going for a Dell Inspiron 710m but I’ve decided not too after reading some reviews. The chipset and video card are “old”. At one time, I wanted to wait for an Apple Intel ibook which is yet to be announced. BTW, Macworld SF is next week. CES is this week.
My ideal laptop should include these:
Pentium M CPU
1GB RAM
At least 80GB disk
The best LCD monitor you can afford
Extended warranty
