I caught a documentary on Nepal on TV tonight and I learned something. Lumbini is a village in Nepal which is the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama or Lord Buddha. It’s a sort of Mecca for all Buddhists. But the conflict between the Nepalese kingdom and the Maoist rebels have killed the tourist industry.
