Used books

Abebooks.com, now owned by Amazon.com, is a great place to buy older, used books. I’ve been buying some technical books at $1.00 a piece. For any current in-print books, Amazon remains the only place to buy after Quebecor has bought and closed Camelot book store.

Monnaie de singe

I’m baffled with what is happening to the financial market during the past months. There is so much indecency and obscenity that no one could imagine. The banks are getting a free ride from the US government. Still living lavishly but now on taxpayer’s money. Non-solvent banks should be liquidated and nationalized. The shareholders get nothing. The government should every thing, not just bad debts. But, they are all in the same vicious circle. The Federal Reserve, which is a group of private banks, prints the money and lend it to the government which, in turn, give to other banks for almost free. And you know who is paying for all this.

Associated Press Stylebook

The AP Stylebook is recommended if you want to write good (American) English. It tells you when to hyphenate, to spell the numbers and to choose the correct word. What is the difference between assassination, homicide, manslaughter and murder? The AP Stylebook will tell you. The Ask the Editor section on their website is very helpful too.
